The Role:

At Leya, we’re transforming the legal industry with AI-powered solutions, and we’re looking for a Legal Engineer to drive our growth in Germany. In this role, you’ll leverage your legal expertise to introduce Leya’s tools to law firms and in-house teams, becoming a trusted advisor on how our solutions can enhance their daily workflows.

You’ll have the opportunity to influence how our AI solutions are perceived and adopted in the German market. By building strong relationships with key decision-makers and leading tailored demos and educational sessions, you’ll help clients understand the real-world impact of our technology.

Joining Leya means having a direct influence on our strategy and success in Germany as well as product direction. You’ll be part of a fast-moving startup, where your contributions will shape how we grow and succeed in a rapidly evolving legal landscape.

What you will be doing:

• Engage with lawyers at existing and prospective clients to understand their workflow challenges, then demonstrate how Leya’s tools can solve them in a practical, impactful way.
• Establish yourself as a trusted expert by addressing specific legal problems such as legal research, contract drafting, document analysis, due diligence, and more. 
• Lead tailored product demos for various law firm practice groups and in-house legal teams, asking insightful questions to validate how Leya can add value and showcasing our features and benefits.
• Act as the “Voice of the Customer,” sharing legal insights with the product teams to improve our product features based on client feedback.
• Help shape market perception by positioning Leya as a credible, substantive, and valuable partner, using our AI tools to make lawyers more effective and efficient.
  

Who you are:

• Legal Expertise: 3+ years at a top-tier law firm, ideally in corporate law or litigation.
• Executive Presence: Proven ability to engage and build trust with decision-makers at all levels.
• Strong Network: A robust professional network within the legal industry, enabling you to open doors and build connections with ease.
• Great Presentation and Communication Skills: Exceptional presentation skills—whether on-the-spot whiteboarding or delivering polished demos.
• Industry Insight: Deep understanding of legal workflows and the challenges faced by legal teams.
• AI Curiosity: A passion for exploring how AI can revolutionize the legal landscape.
• Bonus Points: Experience in sales, client-facing roles, business development, or directly managing client matters and relationships
• Based: Berlin, Hamburg, Frankfurt or München
